Repotting Indoor Plants

“Happiness is buying plants” -Unknown.

And you guys know I love my plants, both faux and real. Last winter, I grew a love for real plants so I started buying some and truly love how they make my home feel. They add so much warmth and fill up any space. Aside from them looking pretty, they clean and purify the air and that’s so important too.

In the last couple of weeks, I started noticing that some of my plants weren’t doing very well and realized they were outgrowing their pots. Usually, when you see the roots start showing on the surface, it’s time to repot. When I started buying all my plants, I got them all small so they could be styled on shelves and tables but now that they grew and the plant pots are bigger, I need to buy larger planters. I tried looking for pretty plastic pots but they only had the black and terra-cotta color which I’m not a big fan of. I ‘ll probably look for cute baskets too.

I ended up repotting 8 plants, separating a baby from it’s mama snake plant and repotting both, so I ended up with a total of 9 plants. I still have a few more to repot but I ran out fo soil and will do it another day.

Repotting is fairly easy. The only tip I can give you is to try not to break or damage the root. Break off some of the soil in the bottom by massaging the roots so there is room for the new soil. I added a liquid fertilizer at the end and watered the plant to spread the fertilizer around.

Below is a time-lapse video repotting all the plants and all the materials I used.
