Living Room Tour

My living room color palette was inspired by a friend who sent me a picture on IG and I fell in love with the blush pink, grey and white combo. My color palette before was blue and grey as you can see on the color of the accent wall. I’m planning on painting it white…well when my husband gets a chance to paint it.

I decided to update some of my furniture a few months ago and went with the Mid Century Modern look with my coffee table and TV stand. I just love the white and wood mix. Some people love it but are afraid to commit to trendy pieces. If you feel like these pieces may be too trendy for you, look for inexpensive pieces so that in a couple of years you can change the look of your home and not feel so bad about getting rid of it or you can even sell it online. Your sofa should be your investment piece because that’s where you sit and comfort is key! Everything else doesn’t have to be expensive if you like to change your house around like I do.

Recently I became obsessed with having plants everywhere! The issue is that I don’t really have a green thumb. I tend to kill them, so I’m hoping these last longer then the ones I’ve killed in the past. I found this rug at target and it just went so well with what I was looking for. It has an aztec kind of vibe but still looks so good in the room. It gives the room dimension and adds texture.

I added some brass accent pieces around, like the beautiful marble and brass tray. I also have a brass and faux marble accent table by the TV stand which may I say, looks so real for being faux. The gallery wall with brass frames was a great way to show picture of my kids. I’ll tell you guys a little secret… that lower left one doesn’t have a picture in it but the reflection of the light hides it really well 😉 I’ve had that acrylic table for some years now and I still love it!

Oh, lets go back to plants…I love using baskets or bins as planters instead of having all traditional planters. I found this cute white toy bin in the girl section at Target and thought it would be so cute to put my succulent plant in. I also have a bigger baskets in the faux fiddle leaf tree in my dining room. The whole room has the same feel and I carry it over to my dining room which I will post about soon.

Thanks for stopping by!
