Kids Easter Basket Ideas

Easter is one of my favorite holidays for the kids and I love giving them a few treats in their Easter baskets. I grab a lot of goodies from the Target Bullseye section or Walmart like bubbles, small toys, pencils, coloring books and put them inside each basket. But using cute baskets are the funnest when we do our Easter egg hunt in the back yard. I fill the plastic Easter eggs with chocolates, candy and some with dollar bills.

So here is what I do that day…I usually fill the basket with all the fun goodies and toys and give it to them in the morning. Then later after lunch we re-use the baskets for the Easter egg hunt. We get good use out of them and I reuse them for a couple of years. I usually grab new ones every 2-3 years.

Below are some cute Easter Basket ideas. You can even use some of these basket to store their toys, have a picnic or use at the pool after Easter!

This year I found the cutest large eggs (12 inches and 10 inches tall) and I plan on filling them with either an Easter t-shirt or outfit for that day. My kids are big on clothing and they love to have new outfits. You can even use these to replace the basket and put all the fund goodies inside. Another idea is that you spray paint them a pastel color and use them as decor.
