Hanging Chair

For a while now, I’ve been debating if I should put a hanging chair in the living room and this year the hubs gave it to me for Christmas. I may be a little late to the hanging chair craze but it’s really all about what you want in your home and how you feel in it.

My kids are so excited with this chair that I kinda wish I would’ve gotten two! lol Ok, that may be a bit too much but you know what I mean.

The installation was easier than I thought. We did have to go to Home Depot because we got the wrong hook the first time around but with the right hook, my husband put it up in less than 10 minutes.

What we used to install:

  1. Drill
  2. Screw eye hook that hold over 250 lbs.
  3. Hanging Chair
  4. Stud Finder

First, we looked for the stud on the ceiling with the stud finder tool and marked with a pencil where the stud was. My husband then drilled a whole smaller than the hook and then manually twisted the hook into the ceiling. He then pulled the rope thru the hook, made a triple knot and wrapped the remaining rope around to make it look like a nice knot. I guided myself with the sofa to see how low the chair should hang. I wanted them to be at the same level.

Hope you guys have a happy and healthy New Year and hope to see you back here in 2020!
