Simple Chili Recipe

One of our favorite meals is chili and it’s the perfect meal during the cold months. Total comfort food! What I love most about this recipe is that it requires very little ingredients and it’s so easy to make if you don’t have a lot of time to cook. We usually serve it with corn chips, fresh bread or cheese quesadillas.

I make mine in a dutch oven and it comes out tasting so good! I got mine at Home Goods but HERE is a really good option.

Instructions

In a pan, sauté the onion until it’s translucent. Add the ground beef with salt pepper. While that cooks, in a dutch oven, combine the rest of the ingredients (beans, tomatoes, tomato juice and chili powder). My favorite Chili powder is from Trader Joe’s because it’s not spicy for the kids. Once the meat is fully cooked, add it to the dutch oven and let it cook on low heat for at least 30 minutes. Stir occasionally and add salt and pepper to taste.

Serve with shredded cheese and sour cream. Enjoy!
