I finally added a rug in the dining room and let me tell you, it has changed the entire space! It brightened it up, it made it cozy, and it grounded the room. I know so many people are against a rug in a dining space, mainly because it can get so dirty but the vacuum is my best friend! I have three kids under 11 and they are messy! But if I stay on top of any messes and vacuum, it still looks like new!
I had to remove the old rug we had when we got our new pup, Austin. He’s 6 months now and pretty much potty trained. He used the old rug as a wee wee pad so I just threw it out. I waited a few months and now it was time to get a new one!
One of the main reasons I love in a dining room is because it prevents the table and chairs from sliding around the room. You don’t know how many times I had to straighten the table a day when my kids were home all day! I finally don’t have that problem anymore!
I love this neutral and natural jute rug. It’s a mixture of jute and woven fabric. It’s so easy to clean and love how it takes up a good amount of the space. I got the size 6×9-ish. I shared a Reel Here on Instagram if you want to check it out.
