Styling A Console Table- Blogger Hop

There are so many fun ways to style a console table and today I have joined a group of talented woman to share creative ways to style a console table. I will share the ladies later on so keep reading!

While styling a console table or sideboard table, I always think about the entire space. The space around it plays a big role when you want it to feel balanced and complete. I use my console table for storage. I keep my oils supplies, all my cloth napkins and table runners so it doubles as storage and decor.

We painted this accent wall a few months ago and it was such a fun way of adding color to the wall. It’s fun to mix a lot of textures and raw elements into my styling. Here you can see I added wood elements and I always try to add white or neutral decor pieces. As you may know, I love plants so naturally I like to bring in the greens to style everything!

When I’m styling a space, layering is key. I like to add height by using books or a pedestal. I like to use different size plants and wall art but finding balance on both sizes of the table and wall. I added the shelves above my sideboard table to create a larger focal point.

Since the Fall is around the corner, I did add a couple of natural pumpkins to the shelves on the wall. I do plan on adding more fall decor but for now it’s perfect. Below you can see I just added a white vase to fill the space where the pumpkins are.

I keep my Aria diffuser here as well because I love to diffuse while I work and when we eat. Adding a tray under it was a great way to create a focal point on the center of the table. I then added something taller to both sides like the plant and the lamp.

Here is the order in which I style a space:

  1. Put everything on a table so I can see all my decor options.
  2. Start by adding the larger pieces such as the tray and larger plants.
  3. Then layer with books or smaller pieces to add height.
  4. Add wall art by leaning them against the wall.
  5. Add texture with wood elements and smaller accessories.
